Connect Indonesia was founded in January 2000 by a small group of caring individuals who are passionate about Indonesia and who care about its development and its connection to the world.
As quoted by Margaret Mead: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has”
Since we started on 22 January 2000, we have successfully implemented a few small projects working directly with people or charity organisations in Indonesia. Our projects are truly grassroots, and run by genuine volunteers where none of us getting paid for the work we do for the charity. Our current project is the “Seeing is Believing” project, where we have donated over 1 thousand pairs of reading glasses to senior craftsmen and women around the archipelago: i.e. Lombok, Flores, Timor, Rote, Alor, West Kalimantan, South Sulawesi (Toraja) and Java. We are heading towards Sumatra and many other parts of Indonesia soon.
Please help us to sustain our amazing project, work with us.
